The American Trucking Associations Management Conference & Exhibition is being held in New Orleans, Louisiana from October 4 through 7. The focus of the event is to help motor carrier’s survive in today’s struggling economy. Top analysts will give an assessment on the economic outlook and helpful tips on boosting fuel efficiency. There will also be an informative seminar on the engine emissions standards for 2010 along with educational sessions on driver recruitment, new technology and how carriers can “go green” profitably.

Bill Graves, ATA President and CEO, says that the current economic state and upcoming Presidential election makes this year’s convention even more important to their motor carrier members. He goes on to say that the event will deliver various solutions and strategies to help trucking fleets thrive despite today’s operating challenges.

The 2008 MC&E is also an opportunity to celebrate the ATA’s 75th anniversary as the organization was originally founded in 1933 with the merger of the Federated Truck Associations of America and the American Highway Freight Association.
