The Ontario Trucking Association is making their voice heard regarding the possible ban on cell phones and other communication devices in moving vehicles.
With truck drivers being one the most understandable groups of people for needing cell phones in their vehicles between being broke down and stranded and away from their families for long lengths of time. Many truckers feel that it is not fair for all of them to be punished for the bad choices a select few may make.
Truckers would like to suggest a plan that is a little less restrictive by not banning the phones but by strong charges, fines and punishments for drivers that have caused an accident or is caught not driving appropriately when it is found that their behavior was a direct result of being on the phone.
No final decisions have been made as the issue comes up as to how it could be proven that being on the phone was to blame for the situation.

don,t you think with todays technolgy they couldn,t come up with a chip to sense motion so your phone would not work when in motion but would if you were stoped.
