Labor Leader Done Harassing Truckers

Extortion is an ugly thing. For one labor leader, his days of extorting money from a trucking firm appear to be over.

In the Philippines, a company called San Antonio Haulers, Inc. was having trouble with a man who would initiate a labor case against the firm and then would demand money in order to keep ‘industrial peace.’ He was a known labor leader and a trouble maker, and now he’s been arrested by government agents. He wanted to be hired as the company’s labor consultant, and he said he wasn’t going to stop filing cases against them until that happened. Four of those cases have already been thrown out and a fifth is still pending.

There’s little doubt that it will be thrown out as well, because this man really doesn’t have a case against the company. Wanting to be hired for a position doesn’t give him the right to cause those kinds of problems, and the government agrees.
