When the economy goes bad there are a lot of people who are thought about, and there are a lot of ‘poor me’ stories floating around. It’s sad that anyone would lose their job or their home or both. However, most people forget the truckers, and they are the ones who really keep this country, and others, going strong.Truckers bring all of the goods that people need and want, and they keep things moving. They haul the raw items that are used to make things, they haul the things that are made, and they haul the trash away when the things break and must be replaced. They work hard every day to do these things, and many of them work long hours with little sleep. They don’t see their families as much as they would like to, either.

It’s a hard life but a lot of people choose it, and in good economic times they do pretty well. When the economy struggles they struggle as well, but most people don’t think about them, and they remain the forgotten casualties of an economic war.
