The trucking industry and awards don’t seem to go hand in hand. Yet, Clarence Jenkins, Jr. is the recipient of one of the most prestigious awards of them all! He earned the Neill Darmstadter Professional Excellence Award at the 2008 National Truck Driving Championships. The contestants for this award are not only judged on their driving skills and abilities, but they are also judged on their driving records, their professionalism, and their attitudes. No rookies need apply for this award, as a person winning it has to have competed in the National Truck Driving Championships for at least seven years, before they even become eligible.
Jenkins has been competing for thirteen years and has won many other awards. He is a member of several truck driving organizations. Mr. Jenkins is dedicated to being a safe driver and a true professional of the road.
