Fisher Price may be pulling one of their toys after a child in West Virginia was able to pick up trucker’s radio conversations that were not exactly appropriate for little ones ears. While playing with a walkie-talkie sold exclusively at Wal-Mart, instead of hearing Dora the Explorer and her pal Diego, truckers talking about smoking pot and going to strip clubs were heard instead. So much for only having a range of twenty feet.
While Fisher Price has not yet recalled the product, they have tried to contact the mother and Wal-Mart has pulled the product from their shelves. Fisher Price has been extremely apologetic about the situation and it is assumed that something will be done to alter the problem with this toy.
Fisher Price spokeswoman Juliette Reashor did mention that because of the few frequencies that these types of walkie-talkies use, it is possible to pick up conversations from other sources.
