The small-time truck drivers are angry, and they’re mostly angry with President Obama because they don’t feel like he’s taking their trade interests and their security seriously enough when it comes to the Mexico border.
Right now, the US truckers generally don’t have any incentive to go to Mexico and to be competitive there, since there are problems with drugs and violence, and also problems with the roads and businesses. Establishing cross-border trucking with Mexico is something that truckers want, but they haven’t got it yet and they are left wondering whether they are going to get it or whether they will have to do without much security or infrastructure if they try to deliver goods to Mexico.
Another problem with the current situation is that the Mexican government is not doing much to correct problems in their country, making it somewhat dangerous for truckers to go there to deliver goods or to pick them up. Cross border programs are what they want President Obama to address where the trucking industry is concerned.

I think he can help, but he will not. A Bush international pilitics was forcused on US-Mexican relationship, but Obama will re-focus it to classic US-Canada partnership. So, all Mexican initiatives will not be supported by Obama
